Today marks the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week! Not only is this a national celebration of all educators, but it is also a week of festivities and prizes to recognize our amazing teachers! The teachers here at SHS are more than just teachers at the front of the classrooms, they are counselors, healers, advocates and leaders. So, how do you say “thank you” to the people who fill all of these roles and so many more during a school year filled with challenges? Well, in addition to a few fun activities planned, today we wanted to encourage everyone to comment below and share a #mondaymemory of a SHS teacher that made a difference in your life!

We are so thankful for our admnistrative professionals! Today and everyday we want to say thank you to these amazing ladies!

SHS is shouting HAPPY NATIONAL SCHOOL LIBRARIAN DAY to our beloved librarian Mrs. Brenda Presley! Mrs. Presley has been the librarian at SHS for 16 years and has been in education for a total of 28 years. Mrs. Presley keeps a remarkable library where students can dive into a wide range of books all while enjoying a coffee from the library’s very own Arrowhead Express Café and a snack from the Snack Shack. Mrs. Presley’s library is the hub of SHS because she creates a space that our students want to be in while continuing to inspire student imagination and cultivate a true love for literacy. We are truly blessed to have Mrs. Presley and invite you to join us in celebrating her!
