Happy Counselor Appreciation Week! We want to take a moment to express our gratitude for the amazing work that Mrs. Kelley Johnson and Mrs. Emma Speer do for SHS students. They are truly rock stars! Amidst the chaos and unpredictability of school life, they are the anchors that keep students grounded. Your unwavering support, guidance, and inspiring words are a ray of sunshine on even the gloomiest of days. Thanks to you, students feel seen, heard, and validated, ready to conquer whatever challenges come their way. Your dedication and commitment to our students and staff is deeply appreciated. WEEKLY EVENTS AT SHS!


SHS is excited to announce our December and January Teachers of the Month! December teachers were English Teacher, Denise Dean and Fine Arts Teacher, Krista Clark!! January teachers were Math Teacher, Dr. Linda Goeller and Math Teacher, Cat Pollock!! Help us congratulate them!



Weekly events! Do not forget Monday and Tuesday are distance days for high school students only. Students have assignments from each class. Some classes are making videos, baking cakes, building forts, exploring banks, doing scavenger hunts, and completing digital escape rooms!


At the January 24th Rotary luncheon, we honored our January students of the month! Please help us congratulate Mackenzie McIntosh and David Hernandez!!


Seminole FFA rabbit exhibitors attended their first show of the season. Today, they went to the Tahlequah FFA/ 4-H Rabbit show.
Members in attendance were Audriona Wassana, Brady Stewart, Drake Patterson, and Jaxon Garner.
Each member showed a rabbit thanks to our fellow ag teachers joining together for the opportunity.

Jaxon Garner exhibited a class winning Havana doe
Brady Stewart exhibited a class winning Mini lop
Drake Patterson exhibited a class winning French Lop.


Seminole High School has an important announcement. On next Monday, January 29th, and Tuesday, January 30th, the high school students will have distance days. This is only for the high school. All other buildings in the district will be in-person learning. High school students WILL have work and activities to complete for these 2 days!


Seminole Public Schools will start 2 hours later than normal tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23. 2024. Classes will begin at 10:10 am, with a modified class schedule accordingly. Buses and car riders are expected between 9:45 and 10:00. Please see the attached bell schedule for SHS!


No school- Monday, January 22nd! SNOW DAY!

Weekly events and 66 Conference Tournament brackets! The tournament brackets were updated due to the weather!




Seminole Public Schools will be closed for a SNOW DAY on Tuesday, January 16th.


The Seminole Chieftains Special Olympics team participated in the Winter Games Bowling tournament at Bowlero Edmond Friday morning. The team raked in the medals with their precision bowling techniques.
Senior Sam Choate won Gold in his heat. Juniors Alea Madron and Jodie Trussell won Bronze and Silver respectively. Sophomore Jacob Sexton won Bronze in his heat. Freshman Tucker Hudson won Gold. Eighth-grader Jacob Mull won Bronze.
Coach Lori Roberts stated, "She is proud of all her athletes' success and can't wait to beat the competition in the upcoming Spring Area games in April."
Coaches for the Seminole Chieftains Special Olympics team are Coach Lori Roberts, Assistant Coaches Krystal Fitzgerald, Roland Garfield, and Kaden Allison.

It is HOMECOMING WEEK!! The students have a lot of events this week. They will be decorating the halls, dressing up daily, and then will cap off the week with the homecoming pep assembly and game. Join us for the pep assembly and game on Friday starting at 2:45!
