(Seminole, OK, 04-28-2025) – The Oklahoma Association of School Administrators (OASA) is pleased to announce Dr. Bob Gragg of Seminole Public Schools as the 2025 OASA District 9 Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Gragg will be recognized at the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administrators (CCOSA) Summer Leadership Conference on June 11-13, 2025. OASA annually recognizes outstanding administrators who:
● demonstrate successful experience in top level educational administration
● have a sound, dynamic and realistic philosophy of education
● can inspire and motivate people and give support and recognition for the contributions of
others
● have a record which evidences continued professional and personal growth through
appropriate training and experiences including skills in human relations and the stamina to cope
with the pressures of the job
● have the ability to speak for education on all levels with special emphasis on the district level
● have made contributions to educational administration

OASA has 20 Districts that consist of multiple counties. Eligible OASA members are nominated and selected by their peers in their OASA District. District 9 includes Pottawatomie, Seminole, and Hughes Counties.
Dr. Bob Gragg is currently serving his sixth year as Superintendent of Seminole Public Schools, and his 52nd year as a professional educator. Bob is a second-generation Oklahoman, the youngest of nine children in his family, and the first to complete a college degree and follow in his father’s success as a college graduate. He attained a PHD in Educational Leadership from Kennedy Western University, a Masters Degree from the University of Oklahoma, a BA from Oklahoma Baptist University, and graduated from Haileyville High School where he attended from first through 12th grades. Gragg credits his success as an educational leader to the teachers, administrators, support staff, board of education members, students , parents and community supporters at Seminole and all of the districts where he has been able to make a positive impact along his career educational journey. Bob is a Lifelong Learner, as he is reminded of his dad’s words that our mind and body are more likely to rust out far sooner than they will wear out. His dad’s encouragement serves as a reminder to exercise mind, body and spirit in order to stay on the cutting edge of continuous improvement.
Dr. Gragg also credits and thanks fellow superintendents and colleagues in District 9 and across the state, along with the leadership team at CCOSA, for always being supportive of the common thread of professional educational leadership. Gragg says “None of us is as smart and effective as all of us working together.”
