Seminole Middle School February Rotary Students of the Month
Olivia Doucette and Fisher Porterfield were selected by their teachers for February Student of the Month.
Olivia is the daughter of Jolene Doucette. She was on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll at Northwood and received the Outstanding Reading and Social Studies Award. She received the Super Citizenship Award and was nominated for the Junior National Young Leaders Conference. Olivia is active in middle school cross country, track, the Champion Athletics and Seminole Soccer League. Olivia enjoys running, tumbling, and road trips with her mom where her favorite so far is North Carolina beaches. Olivia practices kindness to everyone and likes to help every animal she encounters.
Fischer Porterfield is the son of Jimmy and Jaclyn Porterfield. While at Northwood Fischer received the STEM Award and Most Improved Band student. He was selected for Tecumseh Honor Band in sixth grade. Fischer is active in 4-H and placed 3rd for his County Speech and 2nd place in show with his Wether goat. He served as 4-H Vice President. Fischer’s hobbies and interest include fishing, hunting and showing goats. He plays video games and trumpet in middle school band.
