Seminole Public Schools has chosen to delay the start of the 2020 school year. The new first day of school will be August 21st. We have been working diligently to prepare our buildings, facilities, and grounds for the upcoming year. After the update from the Oklahoma State Board of Education meeting, we feel that it is necessary to delay our start in an effort to ensure that we can provide the safest, most educationally appropriate environment for all students and staff. We appreciate your patience and understanding and we look forward to the day that we can welcome all of our Chieftains back to school!

His extracurricular activities include: football, track and SCORE for 4 years, baseball for 2 years and basketball for 1 year. Cameron is a member of the National Honor Society and is on the honor roll. He completed the certified nurses aide program at Gordon Cooper Technology Center where he became certified in CPR and CNA. After high school, Cameron plans on attending a 4 year university while playing football, then pursue a medical degree to become an anesthesiologist.

She plans to continue her education at Seminole State College to become a Nurse, then eventually a Nurse Practitioner.

She is the current Student Council President and has been a member of Student Council for four years. She will graduate with honors in May. She is the recipient of the prestigious Academic Letter Jacket, has been on the superintendent’s honor roll and received outstanding student in Economics. Cheyenne also graduated a year early from the Gordon Cooper Pre Engineer Academy. Cheyenne’s list of community service includes: A League of their Own, Hospital Volunteer, Gordon Cooper Volunteer, church nursery, fire department to name a few. Cheyenne has also been the co-captain and captain of the SHS Colorguard, is a member of National Honor Society (currently the Seminole Chapter president), church leadership group, band, speech and debate and the school newspaper. Future plans for Cheyenne are to attend college to pursue a degree in medicine, eventually becoming a cardiac or trauma surgeon.

Hunter is also a member of the First Baptist Church Youth Group. Hunter has helped with A League of Their Own, Little Olympics, Vacation Bible School and the Annual Pancake Breakfast. After graduation, Hunter plans to attend college to get a degree in Criminal Justice. He would eventually like to be a leader in the Criminal Justice System.
