Chieftains vs Sulphur Game Highlights

Stephens, Chieftains bombard Sulphur

SULPHUR - Shemmario Stephens cranked out 22 points Tuesday night, igniting Seminole to a 50-34 victory over Sulphur. Seminole (10-3) led Sulphur 26-16 at halftime, thanks to a 14-2 spree in the second quarter. Adam Nance added 7 points and a team-high 9 rebounds for Seminole. Will Cotner hit two 3-point shots. Seminole was 7 of 15 from the line while Sulphur was 3 of 9. Sulphur didn't have a double-figure scorer. Seminole (10-3) will play host to Stroud Thursday in a makeup game.

Lady Chieftains upended by Sulphur

SULPHUR - Destiny Tiger cranked out four 3-point field goals but it wasn't enough to keep Seminole from dropping a 55-49 decision to Sulphur Tuesday night. Tiger was Seminole's top scorer with 14 points, followed by Lindsey Lofton with 13 and Taylor White with 12. Lofton, who recorded two 3-point field goals, fouled out with a minute left in the game. Seminole jumped out to a 12-2 lead but Sulphur pulled within 12-9 by the end of the first quarter. Sulphur led 30-27 at halftime and 46-43 entering the fourth quarter. Tiger recorded three of her treys in the first half. Seminole forced Sulphur into 20 turnovers, but the hosts dominated the rebounding department, 36516. Sulphur was 11 of 14 from the free throw line for 78.5 percent. Seminole had just 7 free-throw opportunities, canning 5. Seminole fell to 6-7. Sulphur upped its record to 12-3. Seminole will entertain Stroud Thursday night in a makeup game. The Lady Chieftains will play Friday night at Holdenvile.
